One Sunday morning during Feb.18.1945, a very loud bang was heard, followed by a loud swush.
A German weapon, a V 2 had landed in Strood. The strange thing was, I HEARD the EXPLOSION,
then a minute later, the swush. That was the noise it made coming through `the sound barrier`.

This must have been the one that came down near Rede Court Road.
